Welcome to our "Conference Takeover" edition of the Defence Research Network newsletter. As many of you will know (first hand!) Summer is the time for conferencing so we thought there was no better time to share some of our reflections and experiences as participants, organisers, or even audience members.
In a slightly different format to usual, below readers will find some of these reflections from our committee members. At various staged of their careers, conferences offer something for everyone. For those well-versed in conferencing, we hope you recognise a theme or reflection that resonates with you. Meanwhile, for rookie conference goers or those yet to attend their first, we hope that the following contributions will help provide some insight into the experience as a whole and perhaps some top tips!

As always, we encourage you to explore the collated events and opportunities section, which details prospective conferences and webinars that will be of interest to our community. These events are excellent opportunities for further learning and networking.
